Following a chapel service, guests will receive a meal. All are welcome to come, and there is no charge for the meal. In addition to the meal served, guests will receive gift bags containing items to help meet their needs through the cold winter months.

The Eveline Rivers Christmas Project is accepting toys and coats to assist more than 9,500 children with Christmas this year. Referrals are made to Eveline Rivers Christmas Project by area elementary schools. The deadline for referrals is Nov. 30. The date of delivery is Dec. 15.
Box and wrap is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. from Nov. 13 through Dec. 13. Children include infants to age 18.
The Used Toy Give-Away is scheduled from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 16.
The Coat Give-Away will be from 6:30 to 8 pm. every Tuesday and Thursday through November, and will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday during December. The give away will be closed for Thanksgiving week. A yellow referral card is required from the school or agency on letterhead for a coat or for a Christmas gift. Last year 4000 children were fitted into coats.

They assist local agencies in avoiding duplication of services and participants in the Christmas Coalition. On a at-need basis, after all other Christmas programs have closed, 2-1-1 will assemble a list of families that are not in any other programs and strive to find a way to provide toys for them with assistance from the US Marine Corps "Toys for Tots" and the Downtown Women's Center. They also have a program to offer Christmas trees and decorations to low income families.
